I think maybe you guys add Subtitles feature to Media Player SDK on the future. But I think you guys need Consider set output video size (I mean output or render width and height)feature for the SDK before than Subtitle feature.

Because If we play some video use Media Player SDK, and the video file render(output) size is : 320 * 240, we also use Subtitles future(Maybe use Media Player SDK add it, or use already include subtitle from the video, Maybe Video Edit SDK add it). now the problem is If the video Size(width and height) very small. then when the Subtitles rendering on a small video but big monitor, the Subtitle will be very blur.

If we can set the render(output) size, then if we current Resolution is :1980*1024 Resolution(we use Maximize window render the video use Writeablebitmap on WPF). then you can let the Subtitles more big size render, then when we output video on Maximize , we set it render(output size to 1980*1024), because the image more large, the subtitle more large , we can also edit the size .

But if it only render(output) 320*240(original) image, if play on 1080*1024 Maximize window, because the output(render) video size still 320*240, the subtitles still very small, then the subtitle very blur on the monitor.

I'm not try use DirectVobSub , but Theoretically, even use Theoretically, you will use it when decode video, and output the image already combine video with subtitle right? then I only can output it use Wrieablebitmap. but the problem is , if the original video size is little, you give me output a little image, then the subtitle little too on the Image, then there is we need a output size feature, how do you think?

We have one related idea now (not for subtitles) - independent video effect filters for preview and encoding streams (video edit sdk / video capture sdk) and same idea for subtitle filter (video effects filter after video decoder and one before video renderer).

What do you think?

Well, we're stopped on making our own subtitle engine to prevent issues like this.
