Problem with separate capture

Posted in Developers - Community help

At this thread: http://support.visioforge.com/forums/172855-community-help/suggestions/4113043-videocapture-outputfilename-changeonthefly-method, I asked how can I store stream in different file on the fly. The answer was to use separate capture and then the thread was marked as completed. :) I tried it and it works well, but time to time the video file is mutch shorter than it should be and in few cases the files are even corrupted. Any ideas? Thank you in advance.

DirectCapture is not available for a separate capture.

We still analyzing why output files can be shorter.

I have the same issues with the application I am developping and waiting for this fix. What is really strange, I do not have this on all our test machines. I had it on some WIndows XP and 7.
None on Windows 8 so far. Might by the webcam models?
Thanks

We are unable to find why that's happen. Maybe time stamps provided by camera is not correct, but we unable to find devices that have this problem.

Update on this (for me anyway): This tends to happen more when the webcam (Microsfoft lifecam HD-5001 for example) is plugged in a USB 3.0 port. If in USB 2.0 it happens less, but still does sometimes.

Hi, we are facing the same issue reported by others users.
We are using these devices,
Logitech Webcam Pro 9000
Logitech Webcam 905
Logitech Webcam 905 (2)
Logitech Webcam 905 (3)
Logitech HD Webcam C615
USB2.0 UVC 1.3M Webcam
Logitech HD Webcam C510
Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920
FV TouchCam L2

and the issue is present on each test we did, even in windows xp as windows 7.
Could you please tell us if there is some fix?
